Outsmart your opponent in this fast-paced two-phase game of strategic placement and movement!
From the ancient Roman world comes Rota (meaning “wheel” in Latin). Rota was a favorite of legionnaires on campaign due to its portability and speed of play, and Rota boards have been found carved into stone across the Empire. A Rota match is fast-paced, and can sometimes last as little as ten seconds, meaning that you can sit and play several matches back to back.
Rota has been compared to Tic-Tac-Toe, but with a lot more strategy and opportunities for outmaneuvering your opponent. With two phases to the game, a seemingly losing position in the first phase can sometimes come back to seize victory in the second phase!
